Assignment 30: Final Reflection
After reading through all my posts, I see how my posts have gotten more in-depth and include information that is important to opening a business. I enjoyed when we had to write posts that dug into information about ourselves. I feel as if being an entrepreneur involves knowing yourself and being comfortable with your strengths and weaknesses. Being forced to find these things out about yourself is valuable with business, and life in general. I am proud that I came up with an idea that was able to be as developed as it is right now. I have never taken a class like this before, and it forced me to think like I never have before. That being said, I do believe that I have developed an entrepreneurial mindset. I have learned to think quickly from all angles. I also learned that you have to plan and prepare for all outcomes. I also learned that failure is a part of life and it shapes us into the people that we are. Without failure, you can never grow as a person, and personal growth is essential. Lastly, it is important to welcome criticism in with open arms, because this is how your business develops. My piece of advice is to go in with an open mind. The hardest part is first thinking of a business idea, and the other hard part is doing the exercises about yourself. Once you have an idea, you have to be confident and go with it. It is a process, but at the end it comes together and makes all of these assignments worth it.

Hey Madison, I found a lot of these same things to be true. I think it's clear throughout all of the people in our group that we've had to comment on have developed so much over this semester. I think that without a doubt we all were able to adapt an entrepreneurial mindset because of the way the assignment prompts made us think.
ReplyDeleteMadison,
ReplyDeleteI completely can agree with you in the reflection how my posts have adapted. In the beginning I was like you and my posts lacked depth too them but now after having an entrepreneur mindset kick in I can see in my post and others how we have all learned to grow and think like an entrepreneur. I also like your advice given to incoming students for this class. Having an open mind set will allow them to make ideas without bias and one's they truly feel will suffice. Overall great post!
Hi Madison, I found your take on your favorite assignment to be interesting. I agree with your opinion that introspection and being aware of yourself is critical when it comes to being an entrepreneur, after all, you are your companies most important piece of capital. I actually did not find the assignment that required introspection interesting since I do not possess an entrepreneurial mindset and applying my personality to that can be challenging.
ReplyDeleteHey Madison I really like your post and I completely agree with you that I learned a lot about myself from this class and I had to find my strengths and weaknesses in order to really develop my business idea. I also had a hard time coming up with an idea, but once I did I loved doing all the other posts because my idea was something I was passionate about. I think developing this mindset is important especially once we leave college and get real jobs.
ReplyDeleteHey Madison! I feel the same way about a lot of the things you stated, especially saying that this class makes you feel more comfortable with your strengths and weaknesses and requires you to become more comfortable with yourself. I think myself and the rest of our group has become a lot more comfortable with ourselves and our business ideas for the future!
